With three separate drops measuring 739 m (2,425 ft) in total, Yosemite Falls is the tallest waterfall in North America and ranks among the top ten in the world. It can be seen from many places throughout the Yosemite Valley, but you can also hike to the base and the top of the waterfall. An easy hike to the base is wheelchair accessible and rewards you with a stunning view of the upper drop. Just be careful of the slippery ground and don’t be surprised if you get sprayed by the water. The trail to the top offers breathtaking views of the valley, but you should consider it only if you’re a serious hiker. Make Yosemite Falls a centerpiece of your Yosemite National Park vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Yosemite National Park trip planner.

We were so happy to be able to see Yosemite Falls in the springtime, May and June being the best months to see the maximum waterfall. It was an easy walk to the base of the falls.

Yosemite Falls are world renowned for their nature beauty and breathe taking view. You have the choice of hiking to the very top and see the beginning of the cascade of water roll over the cliff’s edge or hike to the base of the falls and get soaked from the misty and feel the thunder and force of the water as it’s fallen over 2,425 vertical feet. Either way you’ll be in awe of natures beauty and power.

Beautiful park. I'd be interested in camping and spending more time there. We had a long drive to and from the park but were able to enjoy some sights in a 6hr visit.
