  • Having been to Yellowstone before I could not recall driving this area, however this trip I was determined to see it all. This drive is absolutely magnificent and is on the way to Cooke City, Mt...

  • One of the must visit places in Yellowstone. We went all the way from Mammoth to Beartooth highway via Lamar valley. It's one of the best drives that we have done. The whole scenery here is like the famous Windows XP Bliss wallpaper. This is one of the best areas to watch wildlife in Yellowstone and the other being Hayden valley. We were lucky to witness mass bison crossing when we were here. On our second visit, we spotted few bears as well. You will feel closer to nature when you are here. Take your time and enjoy this area.
  • One of the best places to see wildlife in Yellowstone is Lamar Valley, and the best time to visit Lamar Valley is at dawn or dusk. Elk, bison, deer, and pronghorn thrive in the grasslands of this area, known as the northern range. In fact, some of the largest wild herds of bison and elk in North America are found here. The northern range is critical winter habitat for these large animals, which in turn provide food for several packs of wolves. Coyotes are also common, and occasional bobcat, cougar, or red fox are reported.
