The Strand Bookstore is an iconic landmark store in Manhattan. It claims to have about 18 miles of books in the shop …and I believe them!

The Strand Bookstore Manhattan, is a massive repository of books all under one roof, .....not your Barnes & Noble. It encases almost every genre of reading material stacked in 18 miles of books...

Such a great shop. It’s been a staple for years and they have books of all subject matters. There is plenty to see for all types of people. They even have rare books, calendars, bookmarks, and other fine stationary. I would recommend that when you’re in the area it’s to stop in, and you’ll find something to take home. I found a great Robert frost book and even got a free bookmark with my purchase.

If you're a book lover, you need to get to The Strand... fast!!! 4 floors of books, and awesome merchandise await you. My girlfriend and I attended a book signing here, and it was very well organized. Masks and proof of vax were required. The only downside was that the store closed at 8pm, and the book signing ended just after 8. So, no opportunity to browse the millions of aisles of books. Oh well, that just means we'll have to go back again. I've been to The Strand in the past, and it's heaven on earth. You can spend hours upon hours here. This is a NYC institution, and is a must visit. You'll walk in empty handed, and I guarantee you'll leave with more than you can carry. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they'll help you find whatever you're looking for. Be sure to check out the third floor rare book room.
