A bronze statue bringing Lewis Carroll's iconic book character to life, Alice in Wonderland Statue stands 3 m (11 ft) tall and depicts Alice sitting on a large mushroom surrounded by the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, and a few more of her friends. Sculpted in 1959 by artist Jose de Creeft, the sculpture depicts scenes from the original book illustrations. Pause with Alice and her friends while touring New York's famous park by bike, foot, horse drawn carriage, or pedicab. The Alice in wonderland sculpture is a really fun attraction. There are a lot of both adults and children that line up for the photo opportunities.

Update: This is hands down my favorite statue in NYC. It's funny though, I love it, and it's made for kids, but I also can't stand that there's a million children crawling all around it each time I visit. I really need to get here before 9am to see it without kiddos. This is a really cool statue, but it's so hard to get a good picture of it because of all of the little kids! I'm a super Alice and Wonderland fan though, so I highly recommend just walking past it.
