A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann and Quartier Montparnasse. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Champs-Elysees and Le Marais. There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Eiffel Tower, take a stroll through Île de la Cité, get to know the fascinating history of Latin Quarter, and stop by 1st Arrondissement.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Paris is an approximately 9-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of car and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 2 hours traveling from Jeddah to Paris. Expect much colder temperatures when traveling from Jeddah in August; daily highs in Paris reach 29°C and lows reach 16°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 9th (Mon) to allow time for the train ride to Strasbourg.

Crossroads of Europe

Strasbourg is famous for its beautiful historical center, the Grande Île, which was the first city center classified entirely as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Strasbourg is one of the nine largest cities in France with nearly half a million inhabitants in the metropolitan area crossing the river to the German city of Kehl, on the eastern bank of the Rhine River.
Step out of the city life by going to La Volerie des Aigles and NaturoparC - Hunawihr. Discover out-of-the-way places like Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg and La Montagne des Singes. Change things up with a short trip to Sanctuaire du Mont Sainte Odile in Ottrott (about 42 minutes away). The adventure continues: walk around Parc de l'Orangerie, make a trip to Barrage Vauban, examine the collection at Le Vaisseau, and stop by La Petite Manufacture des Reves.

Getting from Paris to Strasbourg by train takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of flight, shuttle, and train; or drive. In August, daily temperatures in Strasbourg can reach 30°C, while at night they dip to 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Fri) early enough to catch the flight to Annecy.

Venice of the Alps

The canals is in Annecy helped earn the medieval town the nickname the Venice of the Alps.
Step out of the city life by going to Les Gorges du Fier and Semnoz. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to La Vieille Ville and Lac du Bourget. Change things up with these side-trips from Annecy: Ville Ancienne (in Chambery), Adrenaline & Extreme Tours (in Aix-les-Bains) and Plage de Doussard (in Doussard). There's much more to do: glide through the air with a parasailing or paragliding tour, make a trip to Pont des Amours, enjoy the sand and surf at Plage Des Marquisats, and take in the awesome beauty at La Tournette.
