Amazing nature reserve, great for a walking day trip to escape the default dutch landscape. If you have the possibility take your own (sail)boat there and spend the night in the cozy and relaxed harbour. Lots of birds and butterflies to spot, nice quiet beach, georgeous swamp walks. Go visit!

Very interesting place. Man made natural reserve in the middle of the Markermeer. Lots of birds, with good shelters to watch them. The beaches look very nice but it was very windy and cold when we were there. The marina has very decent toilets but they work only with special coins that can be purchased only within certain times.
