Create an itinerary including Albert Cuyp Market
Buy fruits, vegetables, sweets, and clothes at Albert Cuyp Market, the largest street market in the capital city. Following a tradition since 1904, vendors in 300 stalls sell a wide range of products bursting with colors and smells. You can get anything from fish and cameras to makeup and spices. In addition, the prices are usually lower than at regular shops. Look for typical products from Africa and the Middle East, and quench your thirst at some of the numerous ethnic cafes and bars that surround the market. Work out when and for how long to visit Albert Cuyp Market and other Amsterdam attractions using our handy Amsterdam trip planner.

  • An amazing market which is located inside Albert Cuyp on a pedestrian street with a great variety of local food and sweets! You will also find plenty of souvenir shops there where you can buy gifts for friends or relatives of yours. If you are in Amsterdam for more than a few days just feel free to pass by and have a look at it.
  • Typical enjoyable Dutch market. I really enjoyed walking through on Saturday morning. Not too many people. The market opens at 9am but most stalls aren't ready before 10am. Don't miss out on all the traditional food.
