A small and interesting house and grounds where you get a great feel for Freida Kahli’s life. Quite a lot of people visit so expect to queue to get in.

Be sure to get tickets in advance; they're pretty good with the schedules and keep the line moving. If you want to take pictures inside the museum, you'll need to buy a permit at the front desk to avoid an awkward moment with the staff during your tour :) The exhibition is very well kept and you're able to experience a little bit of the life of this amazing woman
Plan ahead to ensure a good experience- review from April 2023. I highly recommend reserving tickets for the first time slot of the day- 10:00am. At 10:00am you are the first into the museum and I did not find it over crowded even on a Sunday. Some rooms I was in completely alone and able to take my time. To take photos you must pay $30, but that’s about $2 USD so not a huge lift and you can probably find that change in the bottom of your purse. Some complain that they didn’t learn enough about her life- but I found the museum full of stories and narratives of her, Diego, and her family. Don’t pass up the exhibit at the end with her clothing and more stories about her. There is a cafe inside the museum so you could also sit for a bit in the garden and enjoy the day. Despite instructions sent ahead with tickets, there is no requirement to wear masks inside any longer.
