Galleria Borghese is housed in a villa once used for elegant private parties. The art gallery contains a substantial part of a collection of paintings and sculptures amassed by Scipione Borghese, a 17th-century cardinal and art patron. Borghese was an early benefactor of artists Caravaggio and Bernini. You can explore 20 rooms across two floors. The main floor is mostly devoted to the period between the first and the third centuries, featuring mosaics of gladiators and several sculptures. In other sections of the gallery, you can see works by such artists as Canova, Raphael, Correggio, Titian, Rubens, and Veronese. An advance ticket, which you can book on the gallery's website, is required. Gorgeous gallery with many many paintings and sculptures. I personally prefer a different (Renaissance) Era but adored the architectural features of the gallery itself.

The best Gallery in Rome! Definitely worth visit. Sculptures are breath-taking. I recommend guided visit. Stories are really interesting and you can see the most recognizable masterpiece in a short time. There is a beautiful garden behind. Recommended walk in the park nearby. So far, my favorite place in Rome.

Beautiful and very enjoyable museum. Big enough that there's plenty to see, but not so big that it feels overwhelming like some other Roman museums. The gardens outside are also a great place to rest on a hot afternoon. Worth the money for sure.
