A new amusement park dedicated to volcanoes, Vulcania, combines scientific discovery and family tourism with a virtual tour and discovery trails to explore the history. You and your children will love the indoor simulators that take you on a flight over a super volcano in Mission Toba. Remember to visit the legends of the underworld on the Dragon Ride and face the harshest elements in the Angry Earth series. Ride the VolcanBul, an outdoor electric vehicle that explores the Chaîne des Puys, look at the geyser, and step into the greenhouse with sub-tropical and ancient volcanic environments. • A lot 4D animations. You learn a lot about the area, volcanoes and climate change impacts on earth. It is great with children but definitely for adults as well. Most animations are inside or/and covered if you visit the park on a rainy day. Doing all the activities seems impossible, you would probably need more than a one day ticket to visit the entire park. At the moment, certain restaurants inside the park need to be booked 48h before your arrival. You can also decide to have sandwich or crepes at the snacks. Picnic outside the park is also possible.
  • Definitely worth a visit. Lots of stuff to do, interactive, fun, educational...not so great if you're not french speaking though, there's an audio guide but it doesn't have much translated except for the safety instructions, most videos aren't subtitled and most of the written stuff is just french as well.
