Create an itinerary including Palais Longchamp
Palais Longchamp is famous for its intricately designed architecture, accented by the garden it faces. The palace was created to celebrate the construction of the Canal de Marseille, which brought water from the Durance River to Marseille. Although the foundation stone was laid by the Duke of Orleans in 1839, the building took 30 years to complete, partly because of the enormous expense and partly because of difficulties with local regulations. • Stunningly beautiful building and fountain. Lots of outdoor area to sit and enjoy a picnic. Behind the building is a large park. A small natural history museum on one side, the other side has a small art gallery. Very lovely. All free to wander around in. Close to the tram line.
  • Beautiful place , but fontane did not work, there were a lot of rubbish in park
