An oasis of greenery in the heart of a big city, Biodome de Montreal allows you to journey through the varied ecosystems of the Americas. Originally erected as one of the venues for the 1976 Olympic Games, the building now features exhibits showcasing the natural world of North and South America, including rainforests, subpolar islands, and the Atlantic oceanfront. Five different ecosystems within the biodome support thousands of plant and animal species, including reptiles, birds, mammals, and amphibians. Explore the various sections with ease on a self-guided audio tour. Special audio guides for children are available. Closed for renovations until summer 2019. Unique and engaging place good for kids and adults. Self-explanatory, don't forget to pickup up the brochure at the front desk to identify the exhibits and animals.

Was better in the past. What disappointed me is they used to have signs indicating the animals/fish/etc. All gone.. so we were looking as animals saying "What is that? No idea" $22 for a non local...

Absolutely loved my experience here! We went during a weekday daytime, so lots of screaming children on field trips, but the exhibits were stunning. It's amazing how much biodiversity and different environments they were able to re-create in a dome. All the animals appeared to be happy and had a very spacious living environment and their habitats appeared to be well kept. The penguin habitat main wall was actually made out of real ice! Spectacular facility and would definitely visit here again next time in Montreal.
Newly renovated and finally open!! Although a fun way to spend an afternoon I have to say it hasn't changed that much from the last time I was there. Although the Penguins are always a crowd favorite and the tropical section is fun, they have Monkeys and Capybarras!!! the overall experience felt a little too fabricated. Fun as a one time visit but hard in my opinion to get repeat visitors. Although hard with little one it really pays to take your time and really look around, the animals are often not out in the open. Overall a pleasant experience.
