Create an itinerary including Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires
Admire a small but well-curated collection of modern art at Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires. The museum's collection contains paintings, sculptures, and more; highlights include works by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Fernando Botero, Emilio Pettoruti, and many other important Latin American artists. The museum also contains space for temporary displays, while its cultural center hosts constantly updated exhibits and events on art, film, and music. Be sure to admire the angular architecture of the museum itself: the design was chosen through an open competition, with three young Argentine architects taking the first prize. • Well worth the time, wish we had had more time to be there. May visit on the way back through Buenos Aires. Suggest a must see for people visiting BA!

  • This was such a joy to visit. I loved the permanent collection. There was a special collection that featured mid-century household items. Many of the items were from the 80s, and before fun to see...

  • 3 star be ause my son likes the exhibits. For me, definitely not worth 1 hour walking over. It's nice to have English caption and staff are very friendly. Tickets only cost $1.5 for two people. Only showed the collection of one couple's abstract art works. More people are eating at the Cafe than touring the exhibit. Lots of construction and noisy. The giant wood chair outside is actually very breathtaking!
  • I went to this museum on a Sunday and it was an amazing experience! It took me about one hour to see everything - even with a lot of people there. And it was really great to see Abaporu in person. The building is beautiful and it has a little inside store (with expensive prices). People working there were very nice to me, except in the store. But I think that woman was just on a bad day.
